Lisanne is responsible for the business and corporate development of River BioMedics.
She has a unique combined background in Medicine and Biomedical Engineering. Lisanne obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine at Leiden University, and decided thereafter to make the switch to the Master BioMedical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, where she specialized in Biomaterials & Tissue Biomechanics. Lisanne performed her PhD research at the department of Internal Medicine of the Leiden University Medical Center, focusing on genetic epidemiology of cardiovascular diseases. She is now holding a Postdoc position at the University of Twente and the Leiden University Medical Center, with the aim to bring engineering and medical research closer together to accelerate innovation.
